Biophilia, Wellness, and the Visual Environment

Biophilia. It’s nothing to be scared of! Please join us for a complimentary lunch, provided by CoreLife, and CEU presented by Jenelle Francois with Designtex.

In this course, attendees will gain an understanding of the concept of biophilia, and learn how biophilic design principles can be employed in an interior. The design aspects will focus on visual and material elements that give occupants a connection to nature, especially through surface materials. Attendees will also learn about how biophilia and “positive distraction” can reinforce beneficial effects for wellness. The course will also touch on current building standards that give credits for employing biophilic principles.

BISNOW Multifamily Annual Conference Midwest

Bisnow is thrilled to announce we are back in the windy city for our 3rd annual BMAC Midwest event!

We are continuing to bring you access to the region’s top real estate professionals to provide their expertise and thought leadership regarding one of the hottest asset classes nationwide.

Discussion topics to include:

– Innovative design and construction

– Creative finance options

– Leveraging new CRE tech

– The rise of mixed-use development

– Rising construction and labor costs

– Adding value through amenities and top service

– Where the best ROI remains

And of course, we will dive into the Affordable Housing Crisis. Ten years after the Great Recession, the U.S. economy is strong, unemployment is the lowest it’s been since the 1960’s and thousands of new apartments are getting built around the country. Yet, despite the influx of jobs, wage growth has remained stagnant, leaving millions of middle-class Americans without savings, living paycheck to paycheck as they continue to fight for what generations before have taken for granted; decent, affordable housing.

As always, Bisnow provides plenty of opportunities to network and meet some of the industry’s top players at a fun and fast-paced full-day event. We look forward to seeing you there!

Share your comments, post your photos and ask questions using #BisnowBMAC on Twitter and Instagram, and follow us at @BisnowMF on Twitter for more local news.

For questions, comments, and press inquiries, contact Tess, our Senior Event Producer, at Tess.Jones@bisnow.com!
