Creating Adaptable Solutions

Creating adaptable solutions anticipate change and allow for easy and affordable reconfiguration. By designing a truly modular space, a company can leverage its built environment over the long term as the needs of the workspace change.

Architectural Products

Architectural products are the building blocks of our adaptable interior solutions. Through customized integration of technology, architectural and furniture elements, an adaptable approach delivers stunning workplaces that you can occupy quickly, operate efficiently, and change easily as your business evolves. It can be quickly assembled and disassembled for fast and streamlined reconfiguration. Workspaces can quickly adapt to emerging needs and anticipate change.

Technology

Adaptable interiors feature intelligent technology with exceptional adaptability. The visible parts of an adaptable workspace rest on a raised access floor housing UL-certified distribution systems for electrical, voice, data, and building management systems. This pre-wired, plug-and-play infrastructure will support any space plan the initial tenant—or subsequent tenants—might desire, and enables fast, inexpensive layout changes. The floor system also provides a plenum for sound masking and air distribution. Additional technology elements include energy-efficient lighting and advanced workspace applications.

Environment

Adaptable interior solutions support certification under the U.S. Green Building LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) standards. Adaptable workspace projects produce less construction waste than conventionally constructed build-outs while reducing air and noise pollution. The technology within adaptable interiors promotes energy efficiency. And the architectural elements are highly re-usable, as much as 98% re-usable in the case of walls. Offering cost savings today through energy efficiency and waste reduction, adaptable workspaces are a desirable hedge against more stringent regulation in the future.

Change

The major elements of an adaptable workspace are designed to support a high degree of dynamic change. Walls, lighting, even entire workspaces can be moved quickly and inexpensively without damage to carpet, ceiling or perimeter walls. And there’s little or no disruption to operations. Departments and individuals can be relocated where they will function best. New technology is easily accommodated. Worker density is readily adjusted. And if you move to a new location, you can easily take your above-the-floor modular assets with you. You’ll be up and running again quickly, enjoying continued return on your investments.

Construction

Construction of an adaptable workspace is a streamlined process compared to normal construction. Because an adaptable interior is a set of modular, manufactured products, planning is faster and costs less. Installation can begin as soon as the core building systems are in place. Work in the wide open space of the cold shell moves quickly and unhindered by dust and waste. “Powering up” for business operation is simple: just make the plug-and-play connections within the floor system. Construction and waste removal costs are reduced. And you can move in faster—with a reliable occupancy date.

Total Cost

Adaptable interiors offer major cost advantages compared to conventional workplaces. By enabling efficient use of floor space, they can reduce your total space requirement, thus lowering your lease costs. Dramatic lease savings are achievable when a modular approach is employed in unconventional space. Moves, adds, and changes are efficient, so operating costs are low and productivity stays high. Assets offer a higher ROI because they’re so adaptable. And they’re classed as tangible property and therefore are eligible for rapid depreciation. Add it all up and adaptable workspaces have a lower total cost of ownership.

Adaptable Solutions

Adaptable, modular furniture creates fluid environments that are easy to reconfigure as your business needs change. Using raised access flooring, movable walls and modular furniture builds in flexibility. Workspaces can be moved. Offices can be re-sized. Technology re-positioned quickly and affordably. Furniture solutions adapt to what the organization needs.
