Time & Location

Feb 19, 2021, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Rio Pinar Country Club, 8600 El Prado Ave, Orlando, FL 32825, USA

About The Event

The AIA Orlando Golf Tournament for Scholarships began in 1989 when a group of architects wanted to create opportunities for students to pursue higher education in the field of architecture right here in Central Florida. The tournament has evolved over the years, and now brings architects and design professionals together with vendors and allied professionals from A/E/C industries for a day of friendly competition to raise scholarship funds for students facing financial hardship.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit continuing education programs and scholarships for students studying architecture in America’s only 2+2+2 architectural degree program. Each scholarship award is intended to assist in a student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books, and required fees. Today, in its 32nd year, the tournament has raised over $350,000.

12:00-1:00 PM EDT

Mitigating the negative health risks associated with a sedentary life and workstyle is an issue for everyone, especially today’s knowledge workers.

Workplace Well-Being: Designing for Movement is a new CEU that focuses on the value of movement for our overall well-being and provides strategies for designing movement into the work experience—wherever that may be—at work, at home, or someplace in-between.

This course will show participants how workplace design can encourage movement and how to make the case with employers to support these well-being initiatives for their occupants.
