Returning to Work Essential Accessories

Are you returning to work? Here are some work essentials you may want to bring with you to keep you safe and secure during this time of uncertainty.

essential accessories

Hand Sanitizer

This one may be a given. But even if your workplace supplies you with hand sanitizer, you may want to bring a small bottle of your own. Because it is better to be prepared than to find yourself without any way to clean your hands. But remember that some of your co-workers may be sensitive to strong scents, so it is best to opt for fragrance-free sanitizers.

Multi-Tool Opener

A multi-tool opener can assist you with opening doors and drawers, as well as pressing buttons on elevators. This tool can also be helpful when you are in a bind and don’t have any way of cleaning your hands if you were to touch any infected surfaces. But don’t forget to disinfect your multi-tool opener, because it too could transmit germs to different surfaces throughout the workplace.

Food and Drink

In the past, it may have been easy to find food at work or pop down to the corner café on your lunch break. But times have changes. Communal snack bowls, coffee pots, and water coolers will likely be off limits to prevent the spread of germs. And nearby cafés and restaurants are still in the reopening process themselves. So, you may want to consider bringing enough food and drink from home to sustain you throughout your workday. This includes bringing your own water bottles and coffee into the office for the time being.

Waterproof Electronics

It can be hard to clean your keyboard. That is why many people are investing in waterproof keyboards and mice for their return to the office. They are soft to the touch and dishwasher safe office items that can easily help you maintain cleanliness standards.

Cellphones can also be hard to keep clean. But since we are constantly touching them, they are probably the dirtiest things we own. Waterproof phones or phone cases can prevent water damage through the disinfecting process. But have you ever considered a waterless option for cleaning your phone? CASETify is like a small-scale shower for your phone, enclosing it in disinfecting UV-C lights to rid your phone from germs. This device can also be used to disinfect items of similar or smaller size, such as eyewear or keys. It may be worth looking into for your return to the workplace.

Pet and Home Watching Technology are Essential Accessories

Do you miss your pets already? We’ve spent so much time at home and with our pets these past couple months, many of us may begin to feel slight separation anxiety. Though this may seem trivial, knowing that your home and pets are safe can reduce stress and make for a smoother transition back into the workplace. There are many apps that allow you to not only check in on your home, but also talk and dispense treats to your furry friends.
