Jennie Byrne, MD, PhD, is a brain and behavior specialist with 15+ years of clinical experience who’s now helping startups change the face of healthcare. As chief patient officer for Belong Health, which partners with regional health plans to serve vulnerable, historically underrepresented populations, Dr. Byrne looks for ways behavioral design can support the member experience. She also works with Belong’s executive team to drive resources and support for the distributed workforce culture.
Additionally, she serves as CEO and founder of Constellation, where she guides a diverse group of organizations as they rethink the healthcare industry from the ground up through innovations such as value-based care, which measures quality rather than quantity of care. With extensive experience in psychiatry, psychotherapy, and neuroscience, Dr. Byrne brings a unique lens to entrepreneurship and recently published Work Smart, a book on harnessing behavioral science to infuse humanism into today’s workplace.
