Diversity Improves a Team
Diversity can bring improvements to your teams in ways you can not think of, for you do not have the same background as they might have. People of different backgrounds can bring new and different view points to the workspace that can improve work quality. Also by being more inclusive that will allow those of different background to feel more comfortable at working, possibly improving work quality and the workspace.
How It Can Improve the Workspace
While our BOS team knows full well the benefits of diversity I thought it would be better to share some information I found that also brought the same views into the light. Here I found an infographic from Washington State University about this topic. In it they talk about the statics about experience or witnessing discrimination of all kind in the workspace, employers talking about their employing process, and what I felt was most important a PWC’s survey talking about diversity. In the survey it shows that how diversity can bring so much more to the table and how employees think that it can or does bring better performance to the workspace, like 94% saying diversity bring unique perspectives.
