Creating a Safer Return to the Workplace
Tips, Ideas and Suggestions
Tips, Ideas and Suggestions
Thinking about how to navigate the path back to the workplace? BOS is committed to providing the information and solutions you need. In the video above, we’ll show you some of the processes, furnishings, technologies and PPE we’ve implemented at our headquarters for a safer and more effective return.
Keep in mind that this will change as the pandemic progresses, but here is what we’re currently doing.
We reconfigured and retrofit where possible, and also procured some new product to ensure physical distancing is observed. We started by analyzing our floor plan to ensure each occupied work area has at least 6 feet of open space around it… this is known as circle planning or drawing. We then removed seating for those areas where this was not possible.
A conference room, for example, used to seat 12 people… now it seats 6.
Be sure to focus on protecting workers in high trafficked areas. At our reception unit, we added custom glass dividers.
Haworth dividers provide a physical barrier between those seated in an open space or at a benching application.
In our sales area we have added Compose 16”H clear frameless glass and glass toppers.
Our Design area will be getting Unigroup Too glass stacks, 16”H in either clear or vertical moire glass.
We’ve all gotten used to video conferencing through tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Make sure your workplace is equipped with the audio visual equipment needed to keep in touch with those who are working remote as more of your employees come back to the office.
Digital signage is a great way to communicate your process, guidelines and important information… especially as these might need to be changed frequently.
We also have a thermal solution on the way that will allow for automated temperature scans at the door. Combine this with digital checkin solutions like Envoy – which is not featuring a new Envoy Protect app for visitor screening and management… and you’ve got a contact-free, secure and effective solution.
Don’t forget bluescape for remote collaboration, chargespot for touchless wiring charging and be sure to checkout some of the COVID-19 solutions sensor companies like Freespace are working into their technologies.
We have plenty of masks and hand sanitizer available. We can help you source these products… and even offer workplace disinfection services.
