Art has worked in the Chicago marketing community for almost 30 years, holding positions in advertising and media agencies, as well as in the corporate ranks. He comes to Empower from GroupM where he served in a variety of escalating leadership roles, most recently as Executive Director for Mindshare, overseeing large accounts and operations across the US network. Previously, Art headed the Chicago office of Mediacom. Prior to joining GroupM, he was head of global advertising and brand for Motorola Mobility. While there, he helped launch the Android platform and revive the Razr franchise as a smartphone. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade at storied Chicago agencies like DDB, Publicis/Hal Riney and Starcom, transforming brands like Dell, Emerson, and Whirlpool. He has frequently spoken at industry events and has served as an instructor at the University of Chicago’s Graham School. Art holds a M.S. degree in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Communications from Loyola University in Maryland.
