Inspired By:
The opportunity to create work that has a real impact on how people interact with their environment. Even small improvements can change someone’s experience, and being part of that process keeps the work meaningful.
Keys to a Successful Project:
A successful design project starts with a clear purpose and understanding of the user. From there, a strong concept guides the design, supported by collaboration, thoughtful problem-solving, and attention to detail. Ultimately, success comes from translating that vision into a well-executed final result.
Which experiences have most influenced how you approach design?
My education at Indiana University gave me a strong foundation in design thinking and spatial problem solving, and my minor in Environmental Science shaped how I think about sustainability and long-term impact. At RH I worked on international projects and collaborated with external architects, which exposed me to the complexity of coordinating design throughout all design phases as well as cohesively integrating newly designed spaces into historical properties across Europe. At DLR Group I worked across workplace, hospitality, and education sectors, which broadened how I think about user experience.
“AJ brings creativity to the BKV Group team through her unique background designing and detailing flagship hospitality spaces on the Champs-Élysées as well as English countryside. Our team is made stronger through the variety and diversity of all our team members like AJ.“

Favorite Haworth Collection Piece & Why:
Alder Stool. I love how the subtle change in color from the mixture of natural materials and recycled plastics creates a subtle stone or marble-look effect.
