Inspired By:
All the usual hobbies bring me inspiration, but what truly motivates me is reflecting on our completed projects and witnessing them in action. Users inhabiting the space and interacting with the environments we designed for them is extremely rewarding. Whether it’s solving a problem for the users that they either knew they had, didn’t know they had or just simply bring them joy, it gives me the energy and excitement to go on to the next project and do even better.
Keys to a Successful Project:
A Shared Goal: Working towards a shared goal allows for all team members to gain clarity and invest in a singular focus.
Human Centric Design: People are those inhabiting the spaces we design. Ensuring that spaces reflect human scale and meet and exceed the needs of its inhabitants is a necessity.
A Creative Environment: Fostering an environment that is collaborative and gives people the power to speak up without fear of their ideas being shot down is extremely important when you’re looking to provide the best solutions for your clients and build a dynamic and thoughtful team.
Interests Outside of Work:
Being outside in the sunshine is my happy place. I try to travel as much as I can, but when I’m home I spend most days on my deck trying my hand at gardening or doing my best to keep my house plant collection alive.
“Maggie has not only a strong design sensibility, she also is a great communicator. Clients love working with Maggie.”
