Inspired By:
As an interior designer, I absolutely love the problem solving. Stepping into a user’s perspective to evaluate and reinvent drives the passion for what I do. Even the smallest “aha” moments throughout a day build the anticipation for success in the weeks, months, and years to come. As designers, our projects give us the opportunity to shape an environment for the future. The notion of generating an experience for someone, whether subtle or lifechanging is beautiful. I’m inspired by the people I interact with everyday. Growing into my late 20s I’ve discovered the importance of being the person you pursue. Chicago’s diverse demographic of people, the family of coworkers that develops everyday spent in the industry, and my own family.
Keys to a Successful Project:
No design is accomplished by a single soul, but the soul of a team. These teams don’t stop at the office doors but include the clients, consultants, and trades we coordinate with daily. I know I’m biased, but Chicago has some of the best trades in the nation! As for the secret ingredient…. passion. Passion is what fuels the drive needed for a project. It finds the hardest problems and develops the best solutions. At the end of every project this passion is fullfilled seeing users living the experience.
Interests Outside of Work:
I enjoy time with my friends most – visiting different neighborhoods and experiencing new restaurants. I am also the guy running with a book along Lake Michigan to read on my walk back home during the warm months.
“Here are just a few reasons:
1. His Design Abilities are advanced from his years of professional experience
2. His maturity in dealing with clients needs… and leadership of LJC Teams sets an example for all of us.
3. He is a delight to be around and work with.”

What Is Special About It:
The versatility and materiality of the lounge chair. Its sophisticated materiality but relaxed structure creates approachability.
