Haworth has recently partnered with the SEAQUAL initiative, which produces SEAQUAL yarn, a new product that removes plastics from the ocean and turns it into various textiles.
Over the years, plastic waste has accumulated in landfills and oceans—wreaking havoc on our various intertwined ecosystems. Due to their manmade nature, many plastics take centuries to degrade, and most of the plastic produced isn’t recycled.
Through this, Haworth is shifting towards a circular economy, which optimizes resources through a closed-loop system with no waste. With this circular economy, the path towards a sustainable future will be in reach.
