15 Creative Zoom Meeting Ideas for Team Building

Zoom has helped us stay connected and continue working throughout the pandemic. And though we need to continue to keep our distance from one another, we can still become closer as a team. Here are 15 of the most creative Zoom meeting ideas for team building.

Zoom

Themed Days

Pick a theme. It can be anything, from Harry Potter to Christmas. And have everyone on your team dress accordingly for your Zoom meeting.

Heads Up

Before the timer runs out, you must guess what word you are holding up by the description your coworkers give you. To win the game, you’ll have to rely on the communication skills of your team.

I Spy

After a player chooses an object in their coworker’s background, others must guess what that object is. This simple, children’s game of I Spy will help coworkers feel united across their workspaces.

Price is Right

What’s the going rate for toilet paper? Have someone collect prices of products online and see who can guess the most right.

Talent Show

Do you have a secret talent? Well, now’s your time to shine. Host a talent show on Zoom to show off your skills and learn more about your coworkers’ talents.

Skill Sharing

Many people have been using this time to learn something new. Using Zoom, coworkers can learn new skills from one another, from new design techniques to new languages.

Who’s Who

How well do you know your coworkers? After someone has collected the facts, guess who each of those facts are about. And to see if people are really listening, throw a few lies in there.

Guess Who

After collecting everyone’s baby pictures, have everyone guess who is who.

Show and Tell

Pick a cherished object from home and present it in your Zoom Meeting. This meeting might make you feel like you’re back in preschool, but atleast you all can share in the nostalgia.

Progressive Story

Tell a story with your coworkers. Each take turns to add something new, whether it’s a silly character, exciting action, or inspiring backstory.

Handcraft

There’s something thearputic about handcrafting. Have an art session in your next Zoom meeting. And get out some pens, markers, or really anything you can find around your house to be creative with. Macaroni art, anyone?

Pictionary

Use the Zoom whiteboard for a round of Pictionary. The whiteboard is also great for quick games of Tic-Tac-Toe or Hangman.

Pet Day

Has your pet already made their Zoom debut? Though they’ve likely been heard in the background, your pet can finally formally introduce themselves to your coworkers and their pets.

Follow the Recipie

How well can your team follow directions? Have everyone go to their kitchens and bake/cook something from the same recipie. Whose finished products look the most alike? And whose creations look the most edible?

No Agenda

When there is nothing else to do, do nothing at all. Hosting an open meeting just to chat can give coworkers the relaxed setting they need to bond as a team.
