The first Pantone color of the new decade is 19-4052 Classic Blue.

According to the Pantone Color Institute, the Classic Blue selection highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era. Classic Blue brings a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit, offering refuge. Aiding concentration and bringing laser like clarity, the color can be used to re-center our thoughts.

The color choice is almost a full circle return to the first color of the year, Cerulean, which was chosen before the start of the new century in 1999.
