Sustainability Within and Across Generations

Event Details

Join Illinois Green (on a big boat in the Monroe Harbor!) for an interactive discussion exploring the similarities and differences both within and between generations around sustainability topics in Chicago.  This is intended to be a fun and informative event with 100% audience participation!

We’ll start off the event with a level-set highlighting studies around generational differences and perspectives in the workplace and across sectors. We’ll dive into discussions with individuals within your generation before mixing it up across generations and doing some networking.

Please give some consideration to these questions prior to attending this program.  They will be discussed within your own self-identified generation and within a mixed generational group.

  1. How do you define sustainability? What does sustainability mean to you?
  2. What was a formative experience that drew you to sustainability?
  3. How is sustainability incorporated into your life?
  4. On a scale of 1-5 (with 5 being most important), how important is following sustainable practices in your daily life?
  5. Based on what you’ve heard at this session, what is something you could take back and implement in your life/community?

Space will be limited and will be balanced across the different generation groups.   We strongly encourage including friends, family members or colleagues who may not necessarily be sustainability experts.

We hope you can join us for no doubt what will be a very entertaining and interesting evening!

Food and drinks will be served. Cash bar.
