Project Design Consultant (Sales)
Duties of the Project Design Consultant – Illinois (Chicago and Suburbs)…
1.1. The Project Design Consultant will devote full and exclusive time and effort to the sale and promotion of products and services sold by Affordable Office Interiors d.b.a. Business Office Systems (referred to as “BOS” or the “Company”). The Project Design Consultant will not work for compensation for any other company or be self-employed without written management approval.
1.2. The Project Design Consultant will work in conformity with sales plans outlined by management and will promptly and carefully maintain reports as required by BOS. The Project Design Consultant will comply with all policies and directives of BOS.
1.3. BOS Project Design Consultants are expected to conduct business in an ethical and professional manner, and no policy or instruction to salespeople or other employees is intended to conflict with accepted business ethics. Salespeople are to understand and conduct business inside the legal codes of federal, state, and local government statutes.
1.4. It is understood that the Project Design Consultant should not accept any gifts, awards, prizes, etc. from any customer or supplier, without pre-approval and agreement of BOS Management.
1.5. Specific duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
Efficient planning for effective time utilization.
Prompt and effective follow-up of assigned leads.
Identification of prospective customer firms and the appropriate buying influence within customer firms.
Contact of and securing of appointments with the identified buying influence within customer firms.
Identify/qualify the specific requirements of the customer firm.
Accurate identification of buyer’s pricing goals and delivery requirements.
Generation of accurate quotations.
Preparation of profitable and persuasive written proposals and professional presentations.
Prompt confirmation of selling terms and delivery dates.
Accurate and expeditious order preparation.
Systematic management of order through delivery.
Coordination of installation details/work order and post-installation services, as required.
Periodic follow-ups to generate repeat sales and referrals.
Production of adequate gross profit on each order.
Sufficient call volume to provide an even flow of orders and income.
Achievement of goals and quotas.
Maintenance of accurate customer and prospect records.
Prompt submittal of call and expense records.
Maintenance of cooperative relations with all internal departments and fellow employees.
The Project Design Consultant’s duties in connection with any sale or rental continue after a purchase order is received, and include rendering whatever assistance is necessary to insure that BOS is paid in full.
